I have a fancy dress competition coming up and I want to go as Lady Gaga. But I can’t get a wig! And some of her wigs are quite expensive. So, how do I make a platinum blonde wig at home? Maybe with yarn or something? I don’t know how to make a wig, but I’ll try! Can you guys please help me out?

If you want a silly wig, then you could use some platinum blonde yarn. Get some tulle, or those net things that they use to put fruits and vegetables in the supermarket. Then cut it and sew it so that it fits your head. Take a few balls of yarn.. Id suggest 4 or 5, but that might not be enough… and cut them into the lengths that you want and tie them onto the net. This could take a while so u can ask ur friends or family to help

I have quite long hair, thats also quite thick, but for a fancy dress party I am going to be wearing a long blonde wig. Do I need buy a wig cap, if im only going to be wearing it for a day and never again? I only want to buy it if its absolutely necessary, as this party is already costing quite a lot.

Maybe you could tie it back, use some hairspray and a hair net. Those aren’t expensive.

You could always go as Donatella Versace or the Bride of Wildenstein. Both are pretty horrific looking but have long blonde hair

I am going to a fancy dress party and i have a ladies 118 vest top, i havnt worn it yet but i dont have a clue what to wear it with, i have looked online for women wearing 118 costumes but having no luck.
im not sure if i want the whole wig and tasch, but maybe kinkyfy it a little bit, i was thinking some little black shorts but dont know about shoes etc…..help??
also if anyone can find me any pics of anything to help x

Hahaha! nice one girly…id go shorts and get your legs out!! Just do what the guys do, but with tighter fitting shorts - and i wouldnt go tash, just the hair because you’ll look slightly unfashionable in a tash… I know its partly the point but you wanna look good still

I could do with some ideas for New Years Eve, me & my husband are going to a local pub and it’s fancy dress, there is no theme, so far we have thought about Morticia and uncle fester from the Addams family, what’s putting me off it the fact that I know it’s going to be boiling hot in the pub and having a long black wig on is going to make me even hotter. We don’t have to match up, I have in my collection of things that could be used …a black trilby…….a brown pair of cowboy boots…… a brown pair of slouchy boots…….a cowboy hat. I am mid forties, not a bad figure, size 12/14 short blond hair, I don’t really want loads of body on display, but would like something a bit nice!! any ideas would be welcomed. CHEERS!!

I would go with being a devil, you don’t need slot of body on display to look fantastic !! So I would suggest a red vest top , black shorts with fishnet tights , it will be cold outside and hot inside so you shouldn’t have alot of layers maybe just a black jacket ?! You can wear this outfit with heels or flats if you are uncomfortable with high heels

First don’t go as Hannah Montana. People will laugh. A lot.

But if you have to..
1. Find some old jeans or buy really cheap ones and stick rhinestones on them…like around the ends and pockets.
2. Wear a glittery scarf
3. Wear a sequin-y top.
4. Wear high heeled shoes or decorative pumps.
5. Anything else you own with glitter/sequins.
6. Wear a denim jacket.

But again, don’t go as her.

I’m trying to work out a halloween costume, and I really want to wear a funky wig - like today I saw a long purple one for instance. Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn’t have to be directly halloween related - could just be general fancy dress.
