Is There a Such Thing as African American Wigs?

Published by admin at 8:39 am under African American Wig

So many women of color look for ways to improve our hairstyles in terms of creating trendy looks instantly! I still get questions from folks who are searching for these so called "african american wigs", but what I believe they are talking about are lace wigs? As I know its the newest hairstyle trend and a life saver for most! Even myself I have to admit. When women are asking for African American Wigs, are they really looking for lace wigs?

I found this site that provide good information about the differences: http://customlacewig.net

Any wig wearers out there sportin the new trend in wig styles?

Yes,there is such a thing as "african-american" wigs.
The hair texture of such a wig is called:Yaki
The Yaki texture is a hair texture that look like an African descent permed hair texture that is about 2-3 weeks old.

    Hi,

That site seemed light on information.

The site below gives better info as it grows as it’s more about empowering wig wearers and not just trying to get them to buy something that might not suit them.

When the wigshop opens it will state which wigs suit which ethnic groups better.

    Hope that helps
