l.o.l not mental, fancy dress party, need umpa lumpa costume?

Published by admin under Fancy Dress Wig

ironing board foamwould be great idea, does anywhere sell it on the roll, its about the thickness i want, found my socks, green umpa lumpa wig,and orange face paint, now ineed padding, and brown stretch material for lumpa jumper

Have you tried the fabric store? I know they have foam but I’m not 100% sure if they have it as thin as a ironing board foam. Also, try a home decorators store, upholstery store or foam shop (there is one near me that sells foam furniture and always has scraps available).

If you can’t find any in the proper thickness, you can try batting. That is readily available at the fabric store and available in different thicknesses (is that a word?!?!).

Here is something I stumbled across, maybe it will help you-just another idea on how to do the pants:

Oompa Loompa (from Willie Wonka)

Parental Guidance Required

Items you will need:

Makeup (orange and white)
Green temporary hair color spray
Brown turtleneck
Brown socks
White shoes
White felt capri pants (you make)
Instructions:

Using the capri pants pattern as a guide, cut the felt, adding a half-circle about the size of a pie pan at either hip. Use velcro to fasten to avoid having to add a zipper. Next, cut two white strips to attach as suspenders that criss-cross in the front and back. The capri pants should be a little loose. Dress. Curl hair up at ends (shoulder length hair is ideal for this). Push some of the hair in the front to form the "wave" at the top of the head, and spray the hair green. For makeup, cover the face in orange, adding white lips and white eyebrows.

Other Ideas:

Elvis wig and sprayed it green. Don’t forget the brown pom-poms on the white shoes, and the white gloves. Can also use a pair of white overall shorts.

Best of luck! :)

LACE FRONT WIGS!!!! LADIES I NEED SOME HELP…please:)?

LACE FRONT WIGS!!!! LADIES I NEED SOME HELP…please:)?
ok, so im thinking of buying a very Beautifull lace front wig, And i have a few questions i need to understand about it. Here it goes….

1) When people ask if thats you hair and they go to run their hands through it, what does the scalp part feel like when they touch it???
-does it feel real or is there a wig feel that gives it away?

2)When you go to style your hair at a salon and they feel your hair and section it to style or wash, does it look undetectable where they couldnt even know thats not your hair?? Does it look and feel like its your own hair growing from your scalp??

3) swiss lace is very undetectable to the eye, so would it be better to be a full lace wig, or a lace front wig?? Which would you prefer is best for me.
- i like updos and styles and curling my hair with irons and stuff.

4) Could someone notice the lace wig even if they came really close it?? Could they see the lace or anything??

Thanks SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR LISTENING. I Have Hair loss by the way, in case your wondering why im asking.God Bless.

1) Well when they run their fingers through it they wont fell bumps like weave and the regular wigs. The scalp on my lace wig is so surreal you won’t be able to tell if it was real or fake.
2) My lace wig cost me $800 its more surreal then most but as beauticians they would know and yes and no it would feel like its growing out of your scalp but the material thats holding the hair is a little thick but flattened to the point where there is no bumps at all.
3)I suggest a full lace wig just because you want updos and other types of style.
4)You could notice the cheap ones ($300-$600), but the more expensive type are really undetectable.
If you need recommendations about lace wigs email me at medlinestock@yahoo.com
I own about 4 different lace wigs from 3 online lace wig store and 1 from Ebay.

Can you flat iron a human hair lace front wigs?

Published by admin under Human Wigs

I am interested in buying a human hair lace front wig but I am very new to buying any type of wigs.

My first question is:
~Can I flat iron my wig or curl it? Since it is human hair, can I blow dry it and all that good stuff or no?

My second question is:
~Do I have to glue in the wig or better yet should I glue in my hair wig although I dont have to?

My third question is:
~Does the wig look natural in person or in pictures? And is my hair secure like do I have to constantly fix it and adjust it? Or is it stable in my hair?

Thank you for all your answers.
:)
You most definitely can heat style a human-hair lace front. Just be careful when you get closer to the "scalp" of the wig, as to not burn it. Also, try not to pull hard or use too much tension.

A lace front application is glued, with a long-lasting adhesive specifically designed for skin attachment. I HIGHLY recommend going to a professional for fitting (prior to ordering) and have him/her give you a lesson on the application, as it’s not as simple as tucking your hair under and walking out the door. They are measured and customized to fit your head specifically, so there are certain landmarks on your head that need to line up exactly with it’s corresponding measurement on the wig.

Once applied and glued properly, you usually can’t even tell someone is wearing a lace-front, even close up (providing it was applied correctly and carefully). The glue is extremely strong and unless you sweat a lot and have oily skin, it will last until you apply the remover to take it off. The hair moves naturally and behaves just like normal hair and can even be worn up. There are some absolutely gorgeous pieces out there today that are completely inconspicuous.

Good luck! :)

How could I accesorise this dress?

Published by admin under Womens Wig

Fistly, you may find this weird, but I’m going to try and pass as a girl for a day (partly as a dare and partly cos i want to see if i can actually do it, plus it should be fun), anyway I will be wearing something similar to this dress:

http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Womens/Urban/Dresses/Urban_Ditsy_Trim_Dress/40985.htm

It’s a similar colour and style, not exact..

what colour leggings should i go for? what style jacket might suit?
Also do you have any suggestions as to whether something could be worn underneath in order to cover my semi-hairy chest?

What colour nail polish? my options are a neutral pinky colour or a french manicure…

Heels or something flat?
I have a long brownish wig with a long fringe that gets swept to the side.
If you can provide links that would help tremendously, thanks!

…Do you think this is crazy??

Yea I think this is crazyy! But if your only doing it for fun, then go for it :) haha

Leggings wouldn’t look good with that dress, but since you obviously need them. Get a darker color of panty hose. You could wear a light weight creme colored cardigan with it. You could wear something like a tank top underneath it…or you could just button up the cardigan :)

Either a french manicure, or a very light pink finger nail polish! Go with some heels, it would make it look more feminine :) You don’t have to wear outrageously tall heels. A creme color would look great!
